I believe the best approach to working with clients is to listen first, and then work together in a collaborative fashion according to their self-defined needs and goals. As a client you will find that I encourage a holistic approach which includes sleep, nutrition, exercise, meditation, and contemplation as well as judicial use of supplements and medication. If requested by the client, I can collaborate with his/her/their therapist or integrative provider to help improve the overall care. As a provider, I especially enjoy working with those who have chosen a less than traditional path for their lives. Through extensive travel I have been able to understand the uniqueness and importance of our individual and collective backgrounds.

Taking the first step towards assistance can be difficult. I invite you to contact me via email or phone, and together, we can explore your options.

Since 2006, I have been providing compassionate care as a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, performing diagnostic evaluations and prescribed medication. I have several specialties and areas of interest:

  • As a former certified nurse midwife and psychiatric nurse practitioner, I have a unique background to perinatal mental health. In 2019, I became certified in perinatal mental health by Postpartum International and am qualified to see pregnant and postpartum women with mood and anxiety disorders unique to this population. I also see women with PMDD as well as perimenopausal/menopausal women.

  • I have worked in college health for over eight years at the University of Colorado Boulder, and enjoy working with young people at this time in their life. I have years of experience treating ADHD as well as mood and anxiety issues in college students. I encourage students to use the vast array of campus services provided, including therapy if desired, in addition to working with me as a way to ensure that their mental health and happiness is optimized.

  • In my general practice, I also see patients and focus on ADHD, PTSD, OCD as well as some mood and other anxiety disorders

  • The services I provide include telepsychiatry (as appropriate), for those who find it difficult to travel for appointments, and office visits. I use a HIPAA approved video conferencing platform with no required downloads. Clients are not required to commit to one of these options, and if desired, office visits and telepsychiatry can be used in combination to fit the client’s needs.
